Counterfeir €50 Notes In Circulation

Gardaí in Tipperary are investigating a number of incidents where forged €50 notes have been passed to or attempted to be passed to retailers for payment of goods. Usually the item is quite small where change is €50 tendered to pay for a bar of chocolate.

A Counterfeit Detection Pen should also be used prior to accepting all notes for payment.
