On good Friday evening last our seniors played their first match of this year’s League in Bansha with a win over Galtee Rovers on a score of Cahir 1:07 Galtee Rovers 1:06, with some of our players not back yet, and their first outing, our younger men stood up to the task and done themselves proud in hard fought game, well done to all players and management.

The team and scorers were as follows: Brian Enright, Liam Howard, Noel O’Gorman, Conor Casey, Sean O’Connor, Aidan Casey, Brendan Donaghy, Diarmuid Tarrant, Benny Hickey (0-3), James McGrath, Padraig Whelan (0-4), Paddy O’Flaherty, Shane Murphy, Conor Cashman (1-0), Brian McKenna. Subs: Stephen McGrath, Darragh Howard, Ryan O’Donnell, Brian Hickey.


Our junior hurlers played their second league match of the campaign in a sun drenched Cahir last Sunday morning V Fr. Sheehys, some great hurling on display with Cahir coming out on top on a score of Cahir 1:25 Fr. Sheehys 0:17 again we say well done to all players and mentors.

Minor Football

The Minor Football team play Ballyporeen in Ardfinnan on Friday April 10th at 6:30 in the South Championship.


Training for all is on going, watch your text, Facebook or twitter for times and dates.


Two of our club men played for their county football team last Sunday, Dean Lonergan and Ger Hally, well done Dean and Ger.




Our senior player Paddy O’Flaherty and his good wife to be Trish O’Halloran are tying the knot next Saturday the club would like to wish both Paddy and Trish a long and happy journey together.




The draw the joker was held in Cahir House Hotel on last Sunday night and the Jackpot prize of €4,400.00 was not won. Paul Frazer won €100.and other prize winners were Johnny O’Donnell, Cyril Burke, Declan Wynne, Andy Moloney & Tony O’Riordan..

This week’s draw is worth €4.600 and will be held the Hill Inn.


Parish League
Our Parish league football finals were held last Sunday week. In the A final Francie McDonagh's team defeated Jack Buckley's team. In the B final Nathan Walsh's team defeated Liam O’Neill's team. Thanks to all who came and supported all the boys and girls, also to everyone who helped with food & to John O Donoghue for providing the soup.

U10 Community Games Football
Hard luck on the team which where defeated by Moycarkey in Littleton on Thursday last. Better luck to the team on Saturday when they won 3 games in a blitz in Rockwell.
