Moloney welcomes new LED lighting

Cllr Andy Moloney has welcomed the announcement of a further 73 LED lights to be replaced in Cahir over the coming months.

The extra lights and replacement sox made a huge difference in Mountain View and this new allocation will be a further help in next years Tidy Towns adjudication.

Moloney has also welcomed the commencement of the long awaited new Toilets next week which will have a rain water harvesting system to add to our environment plan for the town.

Cahir needs to stay on top of LED replacement lighting in order to be an energy efficient town especially as we are home or the Tipperary Energy Agency and it may be worth a visit to see if there are any areas which can help you at home.

LED lighting strips have also been requested on the pedestrian crossings in the square as there have been some near misses in recent times.
