Parkinson's Sufferers Fundraising Walk - Sunday, May 21st - Knockmealdown Trail - Reminder

Just a quick reminder that we would love to have you join us on Sunday May 21st, as we take part in a fundraising walk for Parkinson's sufferers. The route will take us along the foothills of the scenic Knockmealdown Mountains from Ballyporeen to Newcastle. This walk is being organised in conjunction with the South Tipperary Parkinson's Support Group, which will receive of all funds raised to help Parkinson's sufferers around the county.

The event consists of an A, B and C walk, catering for all abilities and fitness levels. The fee for the walk is €20 for whichever walk you choose. There are sponsorship cards available at retail outlets around the county for those who wish to raise funds for the South Tipperary Parkinson's Support Group or who just wish to make a donation. It will also mark the official launch of the full 32km linear 'Knockmealdown Trail' from Ballyporeen to Newcastle.

Times and walking distances from Newcastle Community Hall are as follows:

Walk A - Ballyporeen to Newcastle - 32km - check-in 8-9am, bus departs 9.30am.

Walk B - Clogheen to Newcastle - 15km - check-in 10-11am, bus departs 11.30am.

Walk C - Goatenbridge to Newcastle - 8km - check-in 12-1pm, bus departs 1.30pm.

All walks finish at Newcastle Community Hall where you will be required to Sign-In on your Return. There will be refreshments provided at the hall for completing participants.
