Cahir Park AFC Notes

League Divison 1 Result

Vee Rovers 1 Cahir Park 0

In a hard fought, tight game Cahir Park came out on the wrong end of a one nil scoreline. Both teams had half chances in the first half but it was scoreless at half time. Vee got the winner half way through the second half and try as we might Cahir could not find the equaliser. Well done to Vee Rovers, Cahir need to pick themselves up and get back to winning ways next week.

TSDL Division 3

Bansha Celtic B 1

Cahir Park B 2

Goals from Dylan Gayson and Paddy Keneally gave the B Team a valuable 3 pts on the road . Tom Keating ran them ragged in his first game back for the club after returning from England. A great team performance and everybody gave their all to secure the points on a very sticky pitch.

Well done lads !

U16 All Weather Pitch Friendly

Cahir Park 8

Clonmel Celtic 0

A very understrength Clonmel Celtic travelled to the new all weather pitch in Cahir Park to offer a much needed friendly game to Cahir Park who have not had a competitive game since mid December.

Cahir Park blew off the Christmas cobwebs getting quickly into their stride. Celtic defended well but once the deadlock was broken by Rhys Byron the floodgates opened.

Rhys scored six on the day with the scoring rounded off by Rhys O'Regan with a left footed curler and Adam Coffey powerfully into the bottom corner from the penalty spot.

Thanks again to Clonmel Celtic for fulfilling the fixture despite depleted numbers.

U 13A Cahir Park beat Gortnahue 4-3. Goals from Ronan Powell, Evin O Regan, Conor Murphy and Luca Fitzgerald . Report to follow..

Great Fun this morning in Cleirihan for the U8 Blitz. Well done lads. The future is bright.

Our u14 girls played Killenaule this morning in Duneske. This squad was hit with sickness and well done to the u12 girls who took the step up to help out today. From the start a very strong killenaule team penalised us and gave a brilliant display of football. The Cahir girls showed great courage and kept battling on. Loads of chances were missed by the girls but great credit is due to them, they never gave up. Well done girls.

Well done to our U10 girls who took part in a blitz in Tipperary Town today and played absolutely brilliantly . A cold wet day saw each and everyone of them put in a great effort and are improving with every game. Well done girls. The girls that played on the day were Caoimhe Leahy, Jessica Davis, Kayla Frazer, Katie Murphy, Katie Tobin, Olivia Darcey, Eire O Connor, Tia Kelly, Zoe Conway, Casey Butler, Sienna Ferris and Ava McKenna.

Cahir Park Footballforall Team started back training on Saturday. Training continues every Saturday at 3pm in the park. New players always welcome.

Congratulations to Jack Morrissey, Dylan Butler and Dylan Morrissey on making the FAI Regional Development Squads recently. This is a fantastic achievement for the lads who are a credit to there family, club and coaches. Continued success to you all and keep up the good work lads.

The final touches are being put to our All-Weather Project with the beautiful planting of trees , hedging and flowers along the walkway of our pitch. As soon as this is finished we will make sure the walk way is back to a cleaner condition and look forward to seeing the plantation blossom in the coming years. We would like to thank everyone for there patience during the construction and also for the many compliments on the pitch. The 100 club fundraiser will be open for approximately one more month and if you would like to donate and get your name on the plaque you can contact any committee member or David in the office.
