Happy New Year

We are well into the New Year by now but from all the officers and committee members of the club, happy 2017 to you all.

McGrath Cup

First round of this competition was played at the weekend where Tipperary played Kerry, and starting for Tipperary was club man Liam Casey (pictured) wearing no. 8, congratulations to Liam we hope it is the first of many starts in the Blue and Gold for our club man.


Cahir GAA Club will hold their AGM next Saturday night the 14th in the Club Rooms at 8:30pm, all are welcome.

Presentation night

On Friday the 30th of December we held a night to present our U21 football champions for 2016, with their medals and had a reunion of the 1996 minor football champions. We have to say the night was a great success and everybody seemed to have enjoyed the evening, a big thank you to Cahir House Hotel and to everyone who gave their time and effort to make it a great night, we also want to thank our guest for the night Peter Creedon. Draw the joker

Our fun game was held last Sunday in The Punters Rest. The jackpot was not won so the jackpot next week is € 5,800 when the draw will be held in Cahir House Hotel. This week's winners are as follows: Jim Cantwell, Eleanor & Fiona Kelly, Trevor Allen, Davy McEniry and Joanne Fitzgerald. The winners on December 22nd were Aisling & Roisin Brophy, Trevor Allen, Jim Cantwell, Tommy Casey, Helen Hally and Mary Shinnick while on January 1st the lucky winners were Tom Marnane, Mary Casey, Denny Whelan, Aidan Byron, Jane Walsh and Sean Rowe. We thank you all for the great support over the last 12 months and look forward to same for 2017.
