Camogie round up

The well attended AGM of Cahir Camogie Club took place on Saturday evening last in the GAA Club house. Outgoing chairwoman Marie Casey welcomed all present and conveyed her delight in the clubs achievements over the past year. Secretary Carol Keating gave and insightful account of the years activities while Treasurer Gertie Moloney had a detailed and thorough financial statement for all to see. As our membership grows from year to year the officers thanked all who are involved with coaching and managing the various teams and in particular to all the parents who give of their time with training, driving to games, fundraising etc. As Marie has decided to step down this year after many years of service to the club as Chairwoman - Mary Howard was proposed and seconded to become our new chairperson which she accepted. Marie will continue to be involved in the club and no doubt Mary will bring her vast knowledge of camogie with her as she steps into the role of Chairwoman. We sincerely thank and acknowledge the work, time and commitment Marie has given to the club and are glad to know that she will still be involved. Senior Chairman John O Connor thanked Marie for all her hard work with the club over the years and said they looked forward to the same good working relationship that the clubs have always enjoyed. Officers for 2017: Chairwoman Mary Howard, Secretary Carol Keating, Treasurer Gertie Moloney, PRO Pattie Costigan.
