Tidy Towns Turn on The Style

The Cahir Tidy Towns group and partners Cahir Meet and Train Group teamed up again last weekend for a very successful fashion show in aid of Cahir Day Care Centre.

Both groups were to the fore earlier in the year when a call for help to raise funds to replace the Day Care Bus which was in need of an upgrade. We started off with a 5km run/walk and the fashion show last April and at the weekend the icing was on the cake when Day Care centre manager Lil Davis announced that enough money Was raised to purchase the bus. We were delighted to play our part in this success story and would like to thank Senator Frances Black for coming down to compere and entertain us with some beautiful singing at the end of the show. The models were a credit to us and we would like to thank the coordinators of the shops, the shops themselves who were so receptive of our men and women. I'm sure that a full list of credits will appear on the paper in time but from the Tidy Towns and Meet and Train we thank everyone involved and the number turned out was a huge support to the models.

We must now switch to the visit of Santa to Cahir on 10/11/17/18 December in the Tourist Office like last year. Meet at the Grotto on Wednesday at 7.30.
