Love Ones Remembered

Our club will hold a mass to remember all our deceased members and friends of our club over the years; we would like to invite everybody including The Cahir Slashers, the Wild Rovers era and up to the present day members and friends and anybody connected with the club to be with us on this special evening. This special mass will be held on Saturday 12th of November at 7-30pm with some light refreshments and hopefully some great chat afterwards, brain child of Pakie Hyland we think this could be a lovely evening to remember our loved ones, who were all friends of our great club, we will keep you all up to date until the evening is upon us.

County Laois

Congratulations to Peter Creedon who was ratified as manager of the Laois County football team recently. Peter was a great help to our club over the years and is principal of Colaiste Dun Iascaigh. We hope everything works out well for you Peter, also joining Peter is another man known to our club Michael O'Loughlin who was our senior football coach for the year just finished and another big help to us in the club. We would like to wish both Peter and Michael the best of luck in their new venture, hopefully we will see them in action when Tipperary play Laois in the league next year but sorry lads we won't be shouting for you! But it will be nice to see you both again.

Draw the joker

Our popular fun game draw the joker is still going strong and we would like to thank everybody in the club and the general public for their continued support. Did you know when we hold the draw we give five prizes away on the night, that's twenty per month and not many other draws in our area can say that, it's always a great evening, so please come along some Sunday evening and join us you might never know it could be your lucky night. The draw is well advertised and tickets are available from club members and various outlets around the town. The cost of tickets is as follows €2 each or 3 for €5, again thank you for your support, without it we would find it very difficult to keep our club running. This week's draw was held in The Galtee Inn on Sunday night and Joe Ahern won €100. Other winners were P. Ward, Mary O'Connor, Lisa Lonergan and Nathan Crosse. The draw was witnessed by Sinita from The Galtee Inn. The Draw will be held next week in The Punters Rest when the Jackpot will be €3,200 All are welcome.
