Cahir Meet & Train Notes

The Cahir Meet & Train group will be starting a new round of Couch to 5km this week and meet as normal in Duneske. Stretching exercises by Donal who has completed a course on our behalf at 7.20 which is very beneficial to avoid injury and help in toning.

We are delighted that he can now share his knowledge with us. The run/ walking starts at 7.30 sharp so please allow time for parking. High Vis must be worn even though we are not on roads. It's still good to be visible.

This Couch to 5 is part of an 8 weeks course and on week 9 we will do the 5km. You will get fit, lose some weight, definitely tone up and have fun doing it. We will be facilitating a run on Saturday mornings at 9.30am for those that find it hard to train on their own but this will be just 5 or 6km.

This is all very achievable and next year you can have great fun going to the different events. It's good to clear the head also after the stress of the day.

Some of the gang joined forces with the mid tipp hill walkers this weekend to walk the Mourne Mountains and they started the weekend in Dundalk. A great time was had by all it appears but what goes on tour stays on tour I'm told . Congrats to Grandad and Granny Jim and Margaret O Donnell on their new arrival mid week.
