Cahir Tidy Towns and Cahir Meet & Train Group
The Cahir Tidy Towns had a few very busy weekends with the visit of Santa to the Grotto on Castle Street. The gang offered tea/coffee and Hot Chocolate with marsh mallows for the kids free of charge. We also supplied a pressie to the kids at a nominal charge of €5 and thanks indeed to Mrs Claus and her elves as well as all the helpers who made the event a success. We would like to thank Failte Ireland and the Tipperary CoCo who helped with the event. On the competition scene we helped the Cahir Youth Project win a prize in the RUTT project and this will help them to plant the beds that we made earlier in the year and also some remedial works around the club house. Well done to Sharon, Michelle, Mags, for their input and also to Ted and Seamus for their help. Ted will work with the youth Club for the summer with the growing and cultivating of the veg that they will produce in the Garden. The new year will start off with Operation Transformation involvement in the new year when we hit the streets on January 5th with a new couch to 5km 8 week programme.
