Cahir Park AFC Notes

Cahir Park AFC schoolboys and girls 2015/16 registration day is being held this Sat from 11am to 1pm in Cahir Park. New players always welcome to all teams and the academy will resume on September 5th age 5 upwards from 9.30am. We will have teams at all age groups with two teams at U12, U15 and U16. As a club we are always looking to recruit new coaches or people willing to give a hand in any way and all coaches will be given a helping hand from our UEFA head coach Trevor Casey who has worked with Chelsea , Sunderland and Waterford Utd to name just a few. Contact any committee member of interested.

The Gregg Cup competition will take place on Sat 22nd August, it will be run as a "street league" between our schoolboy teams and we would like to thank Frank Gregg for his continued support of this competition.

Our Football for all team will also recommence in September, this enables kids of all ages with disabilities to play football. The team compete in blitzes all over the country during the season.

On Thursday , Friday and Saturday this week we are holding a fundraising raffle in Super Value Cahir. All proceeds from this will go towards the maintenance and running of teams and facilities in the club which include the major development of a full size 3G All weather pitch. Many thanks to Dolans Super Value for this great opportunity and to everyone who continues to support the club.

Cahir Park are launching our new online club merchandise shop this week. Club merchandise can be view and ordered online at shop and on the clubs official Facebook page

Tickets are now on sale for the 2015 Irish Football national draw. This is a great way to support your local club and also be in with the chance of winning great prizes such as new cars and holidays.

The juniors and youths continue there pre season games and we would like to wish management and players the very best in the coming season.

Cahir Park Agm takes place on Friday 28th August at 7.30 in clubhouse.

The club would like to wish Kenny Cunningham the very best of luck after he signed for Belvedere of Dublin. Kenny has been training with the Irish U16 team all summer also. Hopefully we will be cheering him on in an Irish jersey for many years.
