Vodafone and CloudStrong announce jobs for Dublin and Mayo

Telecoms company Vodafone has said it is to expand its business here, with the creation of more than 100 jobs.

The new positions are in a variety of roles, including technology, finance and sales.

Vodafone said the recruitment drive is in response to increasing customer demand for mobile, broadband and data services here.

As a result it is expanding its network and bringing fixed line and mobile services together.

In total 113 positions will be on offer. 57 will be permanent, while 51 will be on one to two year contracts and five will be for graduates.

The jobs will be in technology, customer service, HR, finance, sales and marketing roles.

Vodafone employs 1,100 people here and has 2.4 million customers.

Meanwhile, Mayo-based cloud service provider is set to announce the creation of 19 jobs later today.

CloudStrong, which manages servers and software on behalf of client companies, will fill the high-tech roles over the next two years.

The new jobs come as the Castlebar company eyes expansion in the British market, as well as growth in other European locations.

Cloudstrong was founded in 2011 and has been part of Enterprise Ireland's High Potential Startup Programme, which has a particular focus on the export market.
