Cahir Park Golf Club Return To Competitive Golf

Cahir Park Golf Club are delighted with the news that phase 3 of return to golf was signed off on by the golfing gods.

As part of phase three we will see a return to competitive golf along with a gradual return to clubhouse facilities such as the bar and restaurant opening back up.

Speaking to Cahir News Online the club said they would like to thank members and the general public for their understanding and adhering to the guidelines put in place during these difficult times.

Although it will be sometime before life returns to normal we are entering the “new normal” period and with that brings good news for the club.

The ever/popular men's ABP open singles qualifiers will return this coming week. Traditionally taking place on a Wednesday these qualifiers will take place from Monday to Thursday each week for the time being and the entry fee is €5 for members and €15 for visitors. Weekly prizes are up for grabs and the top 50 from the qualifiers will qualify for the grand final in October. Please book in advance and follow the guidelines in place.

In the ladies competition calendar one of the majors have been confirmed. Susan Carey's Captain's Day will take place on Saturday July 4th. Best of luck to Susan on her big day. This will run in conjunction with the men's Golfer Of The Year (1) kindly sponsored by Niall Carey.
