The current restrictions within Ireland will now be extended until May 18th as per Leo Varadkar's address to the nation. One of the main changes from Tuesday is that the 2km restriction for physical exercise will go from 2km to 5km. Please note all social distancing rules still apply.
Leo also announced that over 70s will be allowed to leave their home while staying within 5km from their house from Tuesday.
As part of his address, he stated that the country will begin to open back up in 5 stages from May 18th up to August 10th. From May 18th we will see most outdoor workers returning to work and also some retail outlets opening their doors.
Also from the 18th May it is hoped that people will be able to gather in small groups with people from outside their own home. Stay safe, stay at home, stay positive and check in with your friends and family through phone, video call and social media.
