Cahir Cubs Gladiators Ready For Battle

A team of six young children from Cahir Cubs aged 9-11 are competing in a National Challenge this weekend in Portlick campsite, Athlone, in County Westmeath.

The team of six have been training hard for the past 2-3 months, with the help of all their amazing leaders. The kids will be among a large group of 300 children made up of 49 teams descending on Portlick campsite.

The cub challenge is compiled of cooking for themselves and making their own gadgets for their camp along with pitching their own tents.

The theme of this years event is ancient Rome, so the cubs have called themselves "The Gladiators".

The cubs have met every Saturday to practice and have put in great work and showed great dedication.

Although young, they have proved that they are more than capable of standing up to the challenge.

Our gladiators are ready for battle and we wish them all the very best of luck, as they depart Cahir on Saturday morning ready for a weekend of action, excitement and hard work.
