Gardaí visit Cahir Juvenile GAA Club

On Thursday 18th October, 2018 Gardaí at Cahir, on invitation from Noreen O Connor, Welfare Officer with Cahir Juvenile GAA Club, spoke to a packed room of young people, parents and trainers on the importance of their safety as the nights close in and as we approach Hallowe'en.

Sergeant Ray Moloney asked all young people not to hold or use any fireworks owing to the associated dangers of an unregulated industry; to stay well clear of any bonefires; and to ensure that before they head off "trick or treating" that their pets are all kept secure or indoors; to always wear a hi-vis jacket during the hours of darkness and to respect the fact that some people, particularly elderly people may not like to celebrate the festival of Hallowe'en.

Happy Hallowe'en everyone!!
