CAHIR SCOUTS GROUP ANNOUNCED AS FINALISTS IN RESONATE TESTING SPACE CHALLENGE
The 7th Tipperary Scout Group, based in Cahir, has been selected as one of the finalists in the Resonate Testing Space Challenge, a prestigious competition designed to promote interest in space technology and STEM subjects. The group, known as Cahir Constellations, will now proceed to the next stage of the challenge, where they will design and test their own satellite. In February, 15 teams from across Ireland presented their satellite designs in a ‘Dragon's Den'-style event, where they pitched their ideas to Tom Mallon, Managing Director at Resonate Testing, and Rita Malosti, Key Account and Bid Manager at Mbryonics. Seven teams, including Cahir Constellations, were chosen as finalists. The group will travel to Resonate Testing's facility on March 23rd, where their satellite will undergo rigorous testing. This hands-on opportunity provides Scouts with valuable skills in engineering, creativity, and teamwork while offering them insight into real-world space challenges.
