1/12/24 20:13 The standings as of the eighth count from Thurles for Tipperary North are below: Alan Kelly (LAB) - 9,245

Ryan O'Meara (FF) - 6,407

Jim Ryan (IND) - 6,000

Michael Smith (FF) - 5,490

1/12/24 17:35 Michael Murphy, with 10,415 votes, and Seamus Healy, securing 9,601 votes, have been successfully elected in the Tipperary South constituency following the seventh count.

This completes the allocation of all seats in Tipperary South.

1/12/24 14:56 Martin Browne calls for recount in Tipperary South. Results from Tipperary North after the fifth count are as follows:

Evan Barry: 1,484

Phyll Bugler: 4614

Dan Harty: 3,287

Alan Kelly: 7,435

Ryan O'Meara: 5,913

Francis O'Toole: 1,166

Iva Pocock: 865

Jim Ryan: 4,283

Michael Smith: 5,112

1/12/24 14:10 Tipperary South, Following the redistribution of Mattie McGrath's surplus of 322 votes, the results shifted as follows: Sinn Féin's Martin Browne gained 54 additional votes, bringing his total to 6,237.

Fianna Fáil's Imelda Goldsboro picked up 62 votes, increasing her tally to 7,271.Seamus Healy secured an additional 169 votes, raising his total to 6,316, while Fine Gael's Michael Murphy gained 47 votes, bringing him to 10,056.

With Martin Browne now eliminated, his 6,237 votes will be redistributed to the remaining candidates.

1/12/24 13:30 The below two images are the current standings of the election count in Tipperary North and Tipperary South.

30/11/24 10.35pm Michael Lowry elected on the first count in Tipperary North. The counts for both Tipperary North and Tipperary South are suspended for the night and will resume at 10am tomorrow Sunday.

30/11/24 9.50pm : Tipperary South, Nobody deemed elected after the first official count with Mattie McGrath just missing out on the quota by 250. The following are eliminated Bill Fitzgerald, Myriam Madigan, Rosemary McGlone, John McGrath and Nadaline Webster

30/11/24 9,15 PM: Michael Lowry has arrived at the count centre in Thurles. The 1st count is expected in a few minutes after a big delay.

30/11/24, 7.05 PM: We are nearing the official first count here in Thurles. More as we get it.

30/11/24, 3.51 PM: The first official count continues for Tipperary South and Tipperary North here in Thurles. More as we get it.

30/11/24, 3.06 PM: With 100 percent of the tally now complete in Tipperary North, Michael Lowry (Independent) is on 12,343 with projected quota of 11,120. He looks to be elected on the first official count.

30/11/24, 2:56 PM: With 93 percent of the tally now complete in Tipperary North, Michael Lowry (Independent) leads with 27.0 percent, followed by Alan Kelly (Labour) at 16.2 percent. Ryan O'Meara (Fianna Fáil) is in third place with 12.7 percent, while Michael Smith (Fianna Fáil) has 10.4 percent and Phyll Bugler (Fine Gael) stands at 9.3 percent.

Ryan (Independent) follows with 8.5 percent, and Harty (Sinn Féin) is at 6.7 percent. Lower down, Barry (Sinn Féin) has 2.4 percent, O'Toole (Aontú) has 1.8 percent, Pocock (Green Party) stands at 1.6 percent, O'Dwyer (People Before Profit) is at 1.3 percent, Madden (Irish Freedom Party) is at 0.9 percent, Minehan (Independent) has 0.3 percent, and Phelan (Independent) is at 0.4 percent.

Final tally results are expected soon.

30/11/24, 2,55 PM: The tally for Tipperary South is now complete, with all boxes counted. Independent candidate Mattie McGrath leads the pack with 9,733 votes, followed by Fine Gael's Michael Murphy in second place with 8,045. Fianna Fáil's Imelda Goldsboro holds third with 5,626 votes, while Independent Seamus Healy sits in fourth with 4,656. Just nine votes separate Healy from Sinn Féin's Martin Browne, who is close behind with 4,647 votes.

30/11/24, 2.46pm: Tipperary North tally is now 93% complete. Michael Lowry looks to be elected on count 1.

30/11/24, 2.37pm: 99 per cent of the tally count is now complete for Tipperary South. Mattie McGrath leading the way with Michael Murphy in second place at the moment.

30/11/24, 2.30pm: Projected quota for Tipperary South is 11,313 with a projected turnout of 66.35%. Projected quota for Tipperary North is 8667 with a projected turnout of 47.98%

30/11/24, 13:55: 86 per cent of the tally for Tipperary South is now complete in Thurles count centre.

30/11/24, 12:47: The all party tally continues for Tipperary South. 61% of boxes are now tallied. Mattie McGrath , Michael Murphy and Imelda Goldsboro currently sitting in the top 3 with Seamus Healy, Martin Browne and John O Heney all still in the running.

30/11/24, 12:33: In Tipperary North with 49% of the tally completed, Michael Lowry leads the way with exactly 6,000 votes. Alan Kelly holds second place on 3,339, followed by Ryan O'Meara, who is close behind with 2,994 votes. Meanwhile, Michael Smith remains in the mix with 2,421, and Phyll Bugler is on 1,854 votes.

30/11/24, 11.17 AM: The tally continues for Tipperary North. 29 year old Ryan O'Meara of Fianna Fáil is in with a shout for a seat. Michael Lowry looking like he will top the poll in the north of the county.
