Two Tipperary Players Named to AFLW All-Australian Team

Two players from Cahir, Tipperary, have achieved a significant milestone by being named to the AFLW All-Australian team for the first time. Aisling McCarthy and Aishling Moloney are included in this season's 21-player squad, which highlights the league's top performers.

McCarthy excelled in her first season with the Fremantle Dockers, while Moloney capped off her second year with the Geelong Cats as the joint leading goalscorer in the regular season.

The team also features Aileen Gilroy from Mayo, bringing the total number of Irish players recognized to three this year.

This accomplishment makes McCarthy and Moloney the second and third Tipperary natives to earn All-Australian honors, following their former teammate Orla O'Dwyer, and further underscores the impact of Irish players in the AFLW.
