Aine Keating is Running Dublin City Marathon for Down Syndrome Tipperary

Aine Keating is preparing to take on the Dublin City Marathon on Sunday, October 27, 2024, with a meaningful purpose: to raise funds for Down Syndrome Tipperary, a cause close to her heart. Her niece, Sarah Kenny, benefits directly from the services provided by the organization, which is entirely volunteer-run and does not receive state funding.

Down Syndrome Tipperary offers a wide range of essential services, including Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and education tutoring. They also organize activities such as cookery, dancing, drama, cycling, swimming lessons, and music therapy. Beyond these services, they provide programs that build vital skills, including job readiness, socialization, confidence-building, and fostering independence. These efforts are geared towards empowering individuals to reach their full potential and foster a sense of community and belonging.

Aine Keating's marathon run is a personal effort to contribute to these invaluable services, hoping her community will support her by donating to Down Syndrome Tipperary. Each contribution helps sustain programs that enable individuals with Down Syndrome to grow and thrive within their communities, developing skills that bring them confidence and pride.

Those interested in supporting Keating's run can make a donation, helping make a real difference for the families who rely on Down Syndrome Tipperary's services.
