Tracey Smyth, a proud native of Mortlestown in Cahir, has been nominated for a prestigious Emmy Award in America for her work as a producer on the TV show “The Reluctant Traveler with Eugene Levy”.
Tracey began her television career with BBC's Strictly Come Dancing and has since contributed to numerous successful shows, including Gold Rush, where she followed the quest for gold in the Yukon Valley, and Gordon, Gino & Fred: Road Trip, where she explored local delicacies around the world. Her impressive career has taken her across the globe, working with stars like Will Smith, Gordon Ramsay, and now Eugene Levy.
Her nomination is for a Creative Arts Emmy in the category of Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series or Special. The 2024 Emmy Awards will be held on Sunday, September 15.
