Thousands Turn Out For Cahir Christmas Tractor Run

The streets were lined since just before 6pm this evening in Cahir for the Tractor Run. The kids kicked off proceedings with a mini parade starting from the castle car park; huge effort was made this year. They were followed by Santa and Mrs. Claus along with their little helpers.

Up next were bikes and trikes, all decked out. Santa paused in the Square to officially turn on the town's Christmas lights and stayed to enjoy the spectacular festive event.

This was followed by many tractors and trucks with a festive theme to the delight of the crowd. Once they had passed Santa and his crew headed on back to his grotto at Cahir Tourist Office.

Santa will also be at the Tourist Office on December 9th and 10th from 2pm to 9.30pm.

Our coverage of this event and all Christmas promotions are brought to you with thanks to Cahir Development Association.

This event was also supported by Tipperary County Council, Cahir Tidy Towns and An Garda Síochána.
