The anticipation was high as the community eagerly awaited the moment when floodlights would illuminate the castle's magnificent facade, turning it into a sight to behold after dark. Henry Kenny TD, a respected member of the community, had the privilege of officially switching on the floodlights that evening, a moment that remains etched in the memories of those present.
The community, led by Paddy Walsh, the chairman of Cahir Community Council at the time, played a crucial role in ensuring the preservation and enhancement of this historic site.
