Local boxer John Delaney put in an impressive performance at the National Stadium in Dublin over the weekend. Not only did he win his quarterfinals, but he went on to secure victories in both his semifinal and final matches, making him All Ireland Champion!
John, who hails from Cahir, was quick to thank his coaches from Urlingford Boxing Club for their guidance and support throughout the competition. He's no stranger to success in the ring, having previously won twice in the County and Leinster championships.
In addition, John wanted to express his gratitude to the staff, teachers, and principal of Bunscoil na Cathrach primary school in Cahir for their unwavering support leading up to the big fights. Congratulations, John, on this incredible achievement - the community couldn't be prouder!
