Tora-Kan Karate Club in Ballyporeen Celebrates as Five Members are Selected for National Irish Elite Squad for World Championship

The Tora-Kan Karate club in Ballyporeen, Ireland is celebrating an outstanding achievement as five of its members have been selected for the National Irish elite squad for the upcoming world championship in Hungary. The selected members include three seniors, Dylan Sullivan, Adam Whitney, and Abbie Brett, as well as two juniors, Emma Ryan and Luke Whitney.

This is a remarkable achievement for the club, especially considering that only three juniors were selected across the country for this category. The members have been working tirelessly at the dojo in Ballyporeen, as well as with the national elite squad, to prepare for the upcoming competition.

It's very impressive that Adam Whitney and Abbie Brett will be competing as seniors despite being under 21 competitors. This showcases their exceptional skills and dedication to the sport. There is also Dylan Sullivan, who has shown remarkable resilience in securing his place in the elite squad after recovering from a serious illness over the past year.

The Tora-Kan Karate club has a history of producing talented karatekas, and this latest achievement is a testament to the hard work and commitment of its members and coaches. We're excited to see the selected members compete against the best karatekas from around the world in Hungary and showcase the talent of the Tora-Kan Karate club and the wider Irish karate community.

As the competition draws closer, the selected members will no doubt be working even harder to prepare themselves for the world championship. We wish them all the best of luck and hope that they bring home the gold for Ireland.
