Cahir Meet And Train Represented At Dublin City Marathon

The Cahir Meet and Train group were well represented last weekend in the Dublin City Marathon and well done to all who participated. Some members that started with Cahir Meet and Train in the couch to 5km were running near the 3-hour mark and it goes to show that anyone can start tipping away with the group as a conchies can reach heights they never knew they could achieve.

It's not all about times either and to run a marathon or even walk one is a huge achievement and takes a huge personal effort and long lonely hours of training.

Well done to all our members, enjoy your rest and we will see you back for our Defibrillator 5km on Saturday 12th November. This is a big day in the Callander of the current couch to 5km gang and a chance for a lot of people in the community to walk the route and donate to provide much needed defibrillators for the town.

They are aiming for one at the Swiss Bridge as the walk is very busy with people exercising and donations on the day or via the gofundme page. The 5km starts at the fire station on Saturday 12th November at 10am and we would love to see a good turnout for this worthy cause.
