Free Visits For National Heritage Week

Members of the public are being encouraged to join events and exhibitions during National Heritage Week 2021. Speaking yesterday, Leader of the Rural Independent Group, Deputy Mattie McGrath TD is encouraging people to embrace this year's message to "Open the Door to Heritage".

As part of National Heritage Week, which runs from Saturday 14th August to Sunday 22nd August, entry to OPW sites will be free of charge.

“Ireland's unique and special cultural should be celebrated and enjoyed by all. Heritage week allows the country to showcase those special sites and attractions. Therefore, I encourage everybody to get out and enjoy the diverse offerings at our heritage sites, whether in your local area or on your holidays in Ireland.”
