Tidy Towns Plan A Tribute To Ted

The Cahir Tidy Towns Group welcome the works on the Ha Ha and hope that it will be developed further over the coming years.

We are currently planning Teds Memorial in this area and it will be unveiled on Sunday the 26th of August at 12.45.Hopefully it will be a fitting tribute to a man who gave so much to volunteerism in the area of Tidy Towns and Boating in the Town.

The recent rain was badly wanted and we will have to reassess the Rose Garden in case of future years of drought. We lost many plants to the warm weather and will hopefully get back on track over the winter. We will be erecting the sign for those who donated to this project in the coming weeks.

We will be having a bio diversity walk towards the end of the season and we will advertise once we get word so those who showed an interest in a the Birdwatch Walk can come along.

These next 2 weeks will see the judging of the local competition and this is kindly sponsored by Dolan's SuperValu. There is no entry fee and everything that is visible in town will be judged.

We would like to thank everyone for keeping there premises tidy for judging during the year and hopefully we will be rewarded on results day.

We meet everyday but as a group on Wednesday's at 7pm. New members always welcome.
