Minister Condemns Cycle Lane Parking

Minister condemns cycle lane parking

Minister for Justice Charlie Flanagan has described the practice of parking motor vehicles in cycle lanes as “unacceptable”. He tweeted that “gardaí & local authorities must act to enforce the law” and said he plans to hold a meeting with Minister for Transport Shane Ross and Minister for Housing Eoghan Murphy to “improve matters”. The I Bike Dublin cycle campaign group welcomed the comments and suggested the Government make cycle and bus lanes 24/7 and remove the time-plating designating them a cycle area only during certain hours.
