Cahir Intermediate Camogie Team motored into the league semi-final with an impressive display against Moycarkey at Littleton on Saturday afternoon. Cahir opted to play with the wind and built up a considerable lead of 3.9 to Moycarkey's one point by half-time. The host team had no answer to the scoring skills of Aoife Corcoran, Roisin Howard and Caoimhe Condon. Defenders Emma Buckley and Roisin Costigan also got in on the scoring act with a goal apiece. In the second half Cahir maintained their grip on the game limiting the opposition to just 4 points. Final score, Cahir 4.11, Moycarkey 0.05.Scorers; R.Howard 1.04, C.Condon 1.03, A.Corcoran 0.03, E.Buckley 1.01 and R.Costigan 1.00. The girls looked great sporting their new jerseys kindly sponsored by Morrisons Garage.

Well done to the U14 Team who played a great game in Duneske on Friday evening emerging winners over a strong Fethard team with a final score line of 1-4 to 0-3. Aoife Cashman opened Cahir's scoring with a super point from play. Margaret Reidy was unlucky in the next few moments when her goal was deemed to be a square ball and disallowed. However Kate Flannery made up for that disappointment in the 22nd minute of the game with a very well executed goal. Rosanna Kiely immediately popped the puck out ball back over the cross bar while in the next passage of play Aoife Cashman was unlucky again not to reach the back of net - that shot deflecting off a Fethard defender and the resulting 45 being pointed by Rosanna Kiely. Erin O Regan popped over another point to leave the score line at half time 1-4 to 0-0. The second half saw Fethard coming more into the game and had their first point of the game within the opening 10 minutes. Cahir battled hard and were contesting every ball but the wind was in Fethards favor so the back line had plenty of work to do. Although Cahir didn't score in the second half their defensive play was enough to keep Fethard from equalizing. All the Cahir girls put in tremendous effort with special mention to Erin O Regan who had a player of the match performance.

The Under 12's had a narrow victory over neighbours Ballybacon Grange in Duneske winning 1-3 to 1.2. Both teams displayed good skill and determination with Maebh Casey starring in defence for Cahir and up front Kate Flannery and Niamh Costigan doing the scoring. Niamh Boyle and Clara English caught the eye for Ballybacon. Also it was good to see Emily Kirby back after a recent absence through injury.

Good luck to Caral Casey, Roisin Howard and Caoimhe Condon who are playing for the Tipperary Minors in the all-Ireland Minor A Camogie semi-final against Galway next Sat 18th at 2pm in St Brendans Park, Birr.
