Lowry Confirms 12 Extra Special Needs Assistant Posts For Tipperary Schools

Deputy Michael Lowry is delighted to announce the provision of additional Special Needs Assistants will be allocated to schools in Co. Tipperary from the beginning of the next school year.

This announcement means that 12 additional Special Needs Assistant posts are being created in Tipperary. This will bring the total number of Special Needs Assistant posts in Tipperary schools to over 463 from September 2018.

As enrolment continues to grow in school's annually these extra Special Needs Assistants are extremely welcomed and will allow students with special educational needs to continue their education in a mainstream school setting.

Today's announcement means that many children in need of this additional attention will now get it.
