We start this week with the senior football league, we had home advantage on Sunday when we played Ballingarry in the senior league, a depleted Cahir side held their own in the first half on the score line of five points to eight in the visitors favour, the second thirty saw Ballingarry take control of the game and were comfortable winners, having said that if our lads converted a couple of their five or six goal chances things might have been a little different, but this certainly was not a good day at the office, final score Cahir 0-08 Ballingarry 1-12 , full team and scorers: Keelan Hickey (0-1), Keelan Looby, Kieran O'Dwyer, Eoin O'Neill, Darragh Howard, Sean O'Connor, Ger Hally, Conor Cashman, Patrick Meehan, Conor O'Brien ()-1), Dylan Fitzgerald (0-1), Colin McEniry, Rhys Chowtie, Dylan Fitzgerald (0-1), Eanna Heffernan. Subs: Tom O'Gorman (0-3), Eoghan Quinlan, Brian EnrightColáiste Dun Iascaigh
Congratulation to the Coláiste on their great win last Friday in the Munster U16.5 football final where they overcame Schull C.C. on the score line 2-10 to 1-07, our club were well represented on the panel where nine of the starting fifteen were all from Cahir and we also had a number of subs on the panel, the captain was club man Jake Kiely, another Munster title for the school and for their manager Colm O'Flaherty who as always gets the best out of whatever team he mentors, again congratulations to all the team and management team. Below team picture and a picture of Jake Kiely receiving the Cup.
