Major Delay For New Cahir Toilets

The new Cahir public toilets have been a long time coming but unfortunately the plans have been served a major delay.

Plans for the public toilets in Cahir, and the plans for the public toilets in Helvic, Co Waterford were mixed up in the planning stage.

The boat-shaped toilets in Cahir were in keeping with the coastal village, and locals in Helvic wondered why they had a castle-style structure leading to them raising the issue with the local council.

Retention is being sought for the Cahir plans which are expected to hold up building for up to 2 months at least.

Cahir Tidy Towns have been looking for an upgrade of the toilets for years and they are very disappointed with the news.

Cllr. Moloney was demanding answers on Friday when news broke, but there was no comment from the Council as it was a public holiday.
