Cahir - St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2018

This year's St. Patrick's Day parade will take place on Sat 17th March at 12 noon.

All entries need to be in the places from 11.30am at Woodview.

Contact Lena or Susan this week at 052-7442616 for information about the parade.

The theme for this year's parade is “UNDER THE SEA” so hopefully we will see many colourful entries.

Please present yourselves on the day to Andy Moloney Cahir Tidy Towns or Elaine Doyle Cahir Meet and Train. They will be only too happy to help you get into your places.

Our Main sponsors for this event are Cahir Community Bingo and Tipperary County Council along with Cahir Credit Union and Boolakennedy Self Catering Luxury Farm Cottages.

We are extremely grateful to all of our sponsors because without them our parade could not take place.

The prizes for the parade are as follows:

Best Community Float 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize and Perpetual Cup

Best Commercial Float 1st and 2nd prize

Most Entertaining Entry 1st and 2nd prize

Best Youth Entry 1st and 2nd prize

Most Unique Attempt 1st prize

Our thanks once more to Gerry Duffy who has very kindly agreed to be our MC for the parade and to Eoin O Donoghue who will entertain us while we wait for the parade to arrive. Thanks also to Daltons for the stage.

A special word of thanks to our stewards, to the local Gardaí and to our First Aid responders whose job it is to keep you all very safe during the parade.

Please come out and help us celebrate our Wonderful St. Patrick's Day.
