Cahir Meet and Train support Tomás Kelly Fund
The Cahir Meet and Train and Tidy Towns Group combined at the weekend to host the annual Operation Transformation 5km. This event has grown over the years and was started as a result of the National event in Phoenix Park selling out in minutes.Last Saturday's 5km was no different with huge crowds turning out to support this years charity, The Tomás Kelly Fund.Thumbs Up For Tomás is a local charity that we will be seen more of through the next few months and last Saturday raised €5298 for the Fund.Apart from the usual athletes and club members, there was special focus on this years couch to 5km Group with some members breaking 30 minuets for the 5km and the last 32.30 minutes. This was a great achievement and hopefully they will go onto enjoy many events over the summer. However it does not stop here as we continue to Meet and Train every Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm.we would especially like to thank our partners in all our event The Cahir Men's Shed for their continued support we could not operate. The Gardaí, Civil Defense, Tipp Co Co, Tipperary Sports Partnership, Extreme Sports Duneske, Cahir Development Ass, Cahir Media and Maria Taylor.
