Another busy weekend for our Inter- County teams, the Tipperary ladies football team had a great win over Laois 1-05 to 5-14, with a player of the match performance from Cahir player Aisling McCarthy, (pictured), our hurlers had a nine points win over Munster rivals and neighbours Waterford, our men's senior footballers lost by two points to Roscommon, with club man Liam Casey making his first start this year for the County team, well done to all especially our club players.

Congratulations to another Cahir player Mark Casey (pictured middle row two in) who was part of the Cashel Community School senior hurling team won beat Bandon (Cork) to reach the Munster B final, well done Mark.

No games for our club teams this weekend, but most squads from minor to senior are all back in training and all doing well for this time of year, we wish them all the best for the new season ahead. As we start the new season off we just want to remind everyone that membership fees are now due for the coming year for all players, coaches, non-players and all committee members and supporters, please try and make payment as soon as you can, thank everyone.

Our weekly fun game and main fund raiser Draw the Joker is going well and thanks to you all for the support you give us weekly Congratulations to Maurice Quinlan who won the Jackpopt of €7,200.00 last Sunday, we were in the Abbey Tavern and we were welcomed very warmly as usual thanks to Bridie and John and staff. Other winners on the night were: Breda O'Connor, Tom Molan, Tommy Barrett and Breda Mannion. Next Sunday night we will be in Morrisseys with a Jackpot of €2,000.00.

The February club county draw was held last Friday evening, and yes we had a couple of winner's, unfortunately not a car or anything big but none the less we had two confined €200 winner's Pat and Mary Hyland and Eddie Lonergan (well done folks) again a big thank you to all of you for your great support with this draw, just one more left for the year so best of luck in the March draw everyone.

It still seems a long way off yet, but the 10th of March will come around before we even know it, so please make sure you get your tickets for the best show and only show in town this year, The 2 JOHNNIES for one night only see poster below, and don't leave it too late as tickets are sell fast.

Well done to all the boys and girls that played in the Parish league hurling final on Sunday and competed for the Mossy Hyland trophy. A great display of hurling from both side's with all the skills of the game provided for the large crowd of parents and spectators which came to watch. Thank you to Dymphna and Ann Marie Hyland who presented all the boys and girls with their trophies. Thank you to our referee over the last two weekends, Jake Kiely who did a great job, Mossy would have been proud of you.
