Operation Transformation to launch Walking Challenge.

The Operation Transformation 5km run took place last Saturday on a glorious day. Over 450 brave souls took on the route to try and better their time on the pre run on 17th Janurary. It was a great occasion as we head into the final week of the OT weigh in. There are a few in the running for the biggest looser this year so it will be down to the wire these last few days. However , it won't stop there as we launch the " get Ireland walking " challenge where you walk a minimum of 30 minutes a day for 21 days and this can be done on your own or as part of the group. The official launch and Record Cards will be given out this coming Thursday 26th in Duneske at 7.15pm sharp. The challenge starts on 1st March and finishes with a trek on the Knockmaoldowns on 21st March. Once again there is no cost to this event but there is a charge on the 21st as a meal is provided. Duneske will extend the weighing and circuits for the month of March if enough interest in it so names please to the reception.there will be an OT fashion show in April so keep working on the fitness. The Chairman, Andy Moloney would like to thank all those who helped with the organising of the event and thanked all the sponsors, civil defence.Gardai, sports Partnership, participants, Duneske Leisure, Cahir Men's Shed, tidy towns members and all the photographers and videographers. He paid special tribute to those who provided the food. It was a great occasion and almost ?2000 will be raised for juvenile arthritis as a result. Last but not least he praised those working behind the scenes for the admin and servicing of the FB page for the daily meal menus.
