On Saturday last our AGM was held in front of a good attendance, our Chairman Pat O'Brien(pictured)

addressed us all with conviction and touched on all aspects of the club from the year gone by and what lies ahead for the coming year, Pat described our club as a family which like any other family has it's up's and down's, but when it mattered we can all come together and be one for the sake of our club, the Chairman thanked everyone for the work done throughout the year and gave his best wishes to the players, managers, mentors, committee members and officers for the year ahead, our Secretary Eddie Lonergan again pulled out all the stops to bring us a report from the last twelve months, which was second to none and something a lot of club secretaries in the country would be envy of, our third comprehensive report came from our Treasurer Micháel Fahy, again a very complete piece of work and very detailed, most officers stayed in their elected positions along with most of the committee members, a few exceptions to this were as follows, Coaching Officer, outgoing was Jim Lynch and did not seek re-election, the club would like to thank Jim for the endless work he has done for Cahir GAA over a long period of years, especially with the Juvenile side of the club, again thank you Jim a job well done, incoming to the position is Benny Hickey, and again we wish Benny well in his new role, other changes, Players Representative (outgoing) Brian Enright, (incoming) Mikey O'Connor and Daniel Moloney, Delegate to county football board (outgoing) Denny Whelan, (incoming)Benny Hickey, again we would like to thank Brian and Denny for the work they have done in their positions over the last number of years, and we want to say best of luck to Mikey, Daniel and Benny in their new roles for the year ahead, a quick rundown of some of our club members on the committee, we lose Paddy O'Gorman (thank you Paddy for all you have done), and we welcome on to the committee the following, Mikey O'Connor, Liam Casey, Tom Molan and Joe Cleary, good luck to you all guys for the year ahead, one more position awarded was Life President and that honour was given to a lifelong friend, supporter and member of Cahir GAA, Patsy Lonergan, congratulations Patsy well deserved, that's it from our AGM for 2018 , congratulations and thank you to all who attended on the night, to all officers, committee members, managers and players for their hard work throughout the year just gone and we wish you the best of luck for the year ahead.
