Cahir Tidy Towns Notes

The Cahir Tidy Towns Group are busy planting daffodils these days. We have signs ordered to discourage people from picking them when they flower in the new year and no time like the present to ask people not to pick the crop as they are for everyone's enjoyment. Last year they got wiped out over night and possibly were sold for profit.

Well done to Market Street who received their Tidiest Street plaque during the week and Jim Ryan on receiving the outdoor staff achievement award.

We continue to tidy and clean after the storm and plan new projects. We meet for further planting this Wednesday night at 7pm.

We are also planning Santas visit and can confirm that he will be in the Grotto(tourist office) on Dec 9,10,16 &17th December. Mrs Claus and the elves will attend and admission is still only €5 including present.

Finally well done to our partners in meet and train on the recent Marathon and fundraiser for children's ward in STGH.
