Cahir GAA Notes

We want to offer our condolences to the family and extended family of Kerri Fitzpatrick (née O' Donnell) RIP who passed away recently, (a young woman, mother, daughter, aunt and sister taken far too soon from us all) our thoughts are with both the Fitzpatrick, O Donnell and extended families at this very sad time, may she rest in peace.

Junior B hurling championship

On Saturday last we were in Ned Hall Park to play Marlfield in the latest round of the competition, our team got off to a good start with a couple of good points, all that good work was undone when Marlfield got a goal to go one ahead, both teams traded points and at the break Cahir were behind by just the minimum , the second half was just a few minutes old Cahir levelled, then half way through the half in a physical match Robbie Costigan raised the green flag to put our lads in the driving seat to the finish line, in fact we scored 1-03 to a point in the second half , final score Cahir 1-10 Marlfield 1-06 before we leave this we want to wish Conor O'Brien (pic below) a speedy recovery ,as he picked up an injury during the game ,we hear it's not too serious but will still take a couple of weeks before Conor is back on the field , below full team and scorers: Anthony Burke, Conor McKenna, Noel O'Gorman, Michael Tobin, Brian Enright (0-1), James Walsh, Ger Quinn, Colin McEniry (0-1), Darragh Howard (0-1), Conor O'Brien (0-3), Tom O'Gorman (0-3), David Purtil (0-1), John Sheehy, Gavin Berry, Rhys Chowtie. Subs Used: Robbie Costigan (1-0), Ger O'Gorman, Kieran Carroll.
