Cahir Tidy Towns Need Your Help This Saturday !

The Cahir Tidy Towns Group look forward to to a huge weekend ahead. Before the annual results are announced in the Helix next Monday we must first fulfil our duties on Saturday next with our River Clean up and community day.

We need your help to get involved in your own estate and give it a final clean up before the winter. Some groups have been fabulous all year and we need one more effort.

Bags can be collected on Saturday at noon after the litter pick if the group are notified.

Tidy Towns will be working on the Mall and river bank area as there is a lot of litter getting stuck on the river bank growth.

This clean up is in conjunction with the Waters and Communities and supported by Tipperary Co Co.

On Monday we wait anxiously for the National Adjudicators Report to see if we increased of decreased in points. We have also entered the Tree Project and Pollinator sections separately so we have great interest in the results.

The tree project included works completed on St Declan's Grove, Cahir Park FC, the Golf Club and also the inch Field carvings. The Towns commitment to trees this year has been phenomenal and the wildflowers in many areas around town might get us some extra points.

All in all it's a very exciting week ahead and next Saturday from 10 to 1 for the River Bank clean comes first on the list.
