South Tipperary Macra in association with South Tipperary IFA are hosting an information night on Wednesday the 14th of January regarding "Land Mobility & Farming into the Future". With the removal of milk quotas this year, and policy changes to encourage young educated farmers to remain in the sector, the future hold much promise!
This meeting is open to all, those interested in pursuing a career in Agriculture and to those who wish to explore there options in terms of collaborative farming, leasing, or who wish to retire and want to know what options they have. On the night, Minister of State Tom Hayes will introduce the event, Jack Kennedy, Dairy Editior in The Irish Farmers Journal will chair the event, with Derrie Dillon (Macra na Feirme Ag Affairs Manager), Austin Finn (Land Mobility - Macra), Aisling Meehan (Legal & Tax Consultant) and many more speakers will expand on the topics of collaborative farming (share farming, contract rearing, partnerships, leasing etc) and succession planning with time allowed for Q&A afterwards.
A speaker from the HSA will give a short presentation, and considering the high number of fatalities and farm accidents of late this is something that may of huge benefit to those in the industry also.
