Junior “B” Hurling Championship

On Friday last our junior B hurlers were in action in the championship when we had a home game v Clerihan, (above in action Eoin O Neill) Clerihan had the better opening half and were more clinical with their finishing, and could have been further ahead at the break only for keeper Anthony Burke bringing off a couple of fine saves, at half time the score board read Cahir 0-05, Clerihan 1-06, whatever was in the water bottles during the break it had an effect on our boys for the second half, a well-focused determined Cahir team took to the pitch and straight away started eating into the lead Clerihan had built up, the likes of Darragh Howard, James Walsh and Tom O Gorman working hard Cahir started to take control of the game, then up popped Rhys Chowtie to score a fine goal to put Cahir in the driving seat and with another fine save from goalie Burke, a plucky Cahir took the win, great come back in a good and clean game, final score Cahir 1-13 Clerihan 2-08, well done to all the panel and management, (belo9w Conor O'Brien in action), full team and scorers, Team: Anthony Burke, Eoin O'Neill, Noel O'Gorman, John Sheehy, Brian Enright, James Walsh (0-1), Ger Quinn, Darragh Howard (0-2), Tom O'Gorman (0-4), Rhys Chowtie (1-0), Colin McEniry (0-3), Eric Coleman, Rory Browne, Conor O'Brien (0-2), Kieran Carroll.
