Seasons greetings to all in cahir ot, cahir tidy towns, cahir meet and train.
Who would have thought we would all have come so far since this time last year! My family and I were delighted to be told that Cahir tidy towns and duneske were attempting to bring the town together to do a fundraiser for Shaun, and in January, operation transformation cahir was born! Eight weeks later, not only did the ot members achieve their personal goals, but we were also presented with a very generous donation for the Shaun Fogarty appeal, for which we are eternally grateful!! I'm delighted to hear that meet and train still continues successfully, bringing our town together three times a week, and it all started back then!!
Shaun is now in Stoke mandeville hospital! He is working really hard on a daily basis with the physio and occupational therapists!! He has just had an operation to insert stimulators which will hopefully get him breathing off the ventilator!! His determination and ability to stay positive never ceases to amaze me, and he puts that down to all of you!! He is always talking about the fantastic people who live in the amazing town we come from, and the never ending support you have shown him!! You have all given him the means and determination to return home!!
We hope to return to cahir in late February and look forward to seeing you all then! I'm hoping to join you for meet and train then!! Hope you all have the amazing Christmas you deserve,
With love and best wishes,
Gretta and Shaun Fogarty
