It was a brilliant day in Cahir today and the town looked fantastic thanks to the Tidy towns, the council staff and many others. We started the day by rowing up the river Suir with Suir Valley Adventures. We departed from the front of the castle at the slip beside the bridge into the Inch Field. Some fantastic views of the Castle from a different prospective. It was interesting to see the stalic tights that had formed under the bridge as we headed up stream. With the trip only being a few euro per person I'd strongly recommend it to all. After this we headed into the field day. The sculptures are a credit to Philip and Liz Quinn and their team. If you haven't seen the new aditions get down and see them! There was lots of activity on the day and we were entertained by Cahir Youth Choir and many other singers with the aid of Dj Billy Bop. Finally, we soaked up the atmosphere of the dog show which had a large entry. Well done to all in Cottage Rescue for pulling off a fantastic day out for families.
