CAHIR PARK AFC In The Last 8 Of FAI Club Of The Year 2017

The club received fantastic news this week when we were told Cahir Park AFC have made the last 8 in the 2017 FAI Club Of The Year. This is the second year in a row we have made it this far and after all the progression both on and off the field we hope to go one better this year. This is great news for everyone involved in the club both on and off the field and also for the town of Cahir, and everyone who supports the club in any way. Without the members and people of Cahir we would not be progressing in development of our facilities or with the growth of members in our academy, schoolboys and girls teams and also the fact we have two youth teams and two junior teams this season.

The club will be guests of honour at the Ireland v Uruguay game this Sunday in the aviva stadium and will be presented with a cheque of €1500 for making it this far. We will then go onto the final at the festival of football in Kilkenny in July where we will have to make a presentation to a panel of judges and fight it out for the prestigious title of club of the year 2017 and the €5000 prize. Congratulations and best of luck to Paul Conway and David Byrne who will work on the project and to everyone involved in the club take a bow and keep up the good work.
