Cahir Tidy Towns Notes

The Cahir Tidy Towns Group were delighted to have the main beds and planters sorted in time for the County Fleadh Ceoil. The town looked very well for the event and we would like to thank the members who worked hard over the weekend to have the town looking well and also helped with stewarding. It was a very successful county Fleadh and we wish them well as we gel together to put in a bid for the Munster Fleadh. We must drive on now to get a Munster Fleadh in Cahir but we will need everyone on board. Imagine 20,000 plus heading towards Cahir for a week. It's a challenge but it's achievable.

The town also had a visit from His Holiness Pope Tawadros, the leader of the Coptic church. There was great excitement and a lot of security around the visit and Tidy Towns were delighted to welcome the visit and have the town in order.

We have some more planting to do on the entrance roads and the town planters will be in place soon. We would like to encourage premises to order their own baskets form their own source and make sure their premises is tidy for judging to help us gain extra marks in this years rather competition. We will need everyone on board working together to achieve extra marks this year. We stand at 304 and it will be a struggle to climb from here on. We can do it with your help and unless we all work together we cannot do it.
