A Taste Of Cahir

A taste of Cahir took place this weekend and what a fantastic crowd that turned up which caught the organisers by surprise. They would like apologise for delays in traffic, queues and other little bits.

It was back to the basics of getting out in the fresh air with the kids.

The committee would also like to thank the Men's Shed and VTOS for the Fairy Trail which they will now develop further with some help.

A huge thank you to Cahir Youth Club for the Egg Trail and the eggs supplied by Bank Of Ireland, To Liz and Philip Quinn for the sculptures, to Sheevaun and co for the Water Communities exbo, Val and Ronan from Tipperary Sports Partnership for the canoes, Ann marie for the Environmental Roadshow,Ted and Will for the currach, the Tipperary Food Producers and farmers market for the stalls, the ice house and the opw for opening the Swiss and Castle.

They want to further thank The balloons pilots for travelling but were disappointed for not flying due to wind. Thanks to the Cahir House Hotel and the Shamrock for looking after visitors and to Dolan's for their input in store. Finally a big thanks to the Tidy Towns committee for bringing the event together, Nellie Williams for all her work. The Red Cross and river rescue as always and LEO and Tipperary Co Co for the CEDRA grant.

They finally went on to say "Don't know how they do it but RED PR, Cahir Media, Cahir News Online and Maria for advertising the event and getting the crowd out assisted by Tipp Fm, Beat Fm and Tipp Mid West radios".
