Cahir Meet And Train Notes
The Cahir meet and train group were out in force last week. Apart from the 2 nights trading we had runners involved in the 6km inter firms in Clonmel on Wednesday evening and all did very well. We had some taking part in the Duathlon in Clonmel where members completed in a 4 km run 23km cycle and finished with another 4km run. This was a great experience for the lads. There were others cycling for Scoil Aonghusa and more in the Comeraghs for a long walk while the Mother's Day celebrations confined the Sunday morning gang to a loop over Cahir Abbey. The Irish Times sent a photographer to take some pictures on Saturday as part of a supplement that will come out in the coming weeks on Meet and Train and involvement in the community. We look forward to that production. Training continues on Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm sharp and with the long evenings we might be hitting the bypass but high vis still required. The Quiz has been fixed for Saturday 22nd April at 9pm in the Shamrock so members are asked to start gathering a team to make a night of it. Further information from secretary Elaine or Chairperson Deborah.
